How are we all doing? Never have I been so pleased to announce a new set of photography workshops.
I don’t think any explanation is necessary, but we have missed you all.
It has, however given me time to plan some amazing concepts for workshops with our usual blend of creativity, education and fun. Obviously we’re not out of the woods yet so hand sanitiser will be supplied and hygiene protocols are still at high levels. And I’m advising that we maintain sensible distances between ourselves wherever possible. No snogging allowed! 😉
So without any further ado, welcome to my (late) summer photography workshops!
We have something spookily special for you folks! A Halloween themed shoot at the beautiful (but everso slightly scary in a good way) Langar Hall near Nottingham. We have exclusive and full use of this gorgeous venue and some very wicked models, complete with fabulously horrifying costumes for you to photograph. This is a full day’s shoot and Michael will be on hand to set up lighting, assist and give advice where required.
We can transport people to and from Langar Hall if anyone needs a lift and will be departing from our studio at 8am.
Places are strictly limited so book soon to avoid disappointment.
Date: Tuesday 26th October
Time: 9am – 5pm
Location: Langar Hall, Church Lane, Langar, Nottingham NG13 9HG
Cost per person: Early Bird price of £145 if booked before midnight October 15th after which it goes up to the full price of £175
This young Princess of Darkness needs no introduction. Francheska, or Fonic as she is know to her victims…er…I mean friends is a scarily good model and has all the attributes to help you get some other worldly images. She’ll take your heart (literally) but don’t be afraid, she doesn’t bite.
Oh wait, apparently she does…
Becki Moonbear, we suspect, is a wraith. She takes on a number of forms and steals people’s souls. However she photographs extremely well so we’ve hired her for this shoot. Sometimes she’s a devil in the form of an angel, and sometimes she’s a delicate little fairy. Either way she’ll eat your soul.
Our advice is to use long lenses and bring some holy water.
Major Pinkyy is an enigmatic Dorian Gray type character. He is charming and disarming, but his deep eyes bely a deeper and darker persona. Nobody know his age. And he always insists that paintings are covered up before he enters a room.
Do not look too deeply into those eyes.

Making a special appearance is the legendary Count Kobi. Do not let his diminutive size and impish grin fool you. Let your guard down for just a split second and you will end up doing his bidding for all of eternity. Trust me, I know.
The only way you can protect yourself is to distract him with the most precious of all materials – chocolate.
It’s his only weakness.
NB Only milk chocolate works. Plain chocolate just makes him cranky.
Langar Hall is a quintessentially eccentric English jewel of a hotel. It is beautiful, authentic, and judging by its clientele, charmingly exclusive. I have photographed there a number of times over the years and on pretty much each occasion I’ve bumped into people who you might recognise from tv, theatre or the sporting arena. So I feel very privileged to be able to say that Langar Hall will be our studio for the day.
